imageIlium Software has released Kings Corners for the iPhone and iPod touch. It’s available for US$0.99 at the Apple App Store.

Here’s how the game is described: “Kings Corners combines luck and skill in a fun and fast card game that’s easy to learn, but challenging to master. Kings Corners is based on the classic solitaire game Kings in the Corners.

“Game play is quick, making Kings Corners the perfect distraction from long lines, waiting rooms, and all the otherwise boring parts of the day that can’t be avoided. But Kings Corners is also highly addictive, and players will soon find out that once they start playing, it’s really tough to stop!

“Kings Corners is challenging enough for adults to enjoy, but so easy to play that even kids can learn it fast and have some fun. The idea is simple: try to get through a deck of 52 cards, matching pairs that add up to 10. The goal is to place all 12 face cards on the table in their designated spots. If a face card is dealt and there is no spot open for it on the table, the game is over. It takes strategy and luck to win Kings Corners, and it’s never the same game twice.”
