IK announces new products at AES

IK Multimedia has announced several products at the Audio Engineering Society Convention (AES) , which runs Oct. 5-8 in New York at the Jacob K. Javitz Center. Debuting are:
° The ARC System, an acoustic room correction system in a plug-in. It was developed in conjunction with Audyssey and is designed to provide a low-cost and mobile solution to correct the distortion problems caused by room acoustics. You can pre-order ARC for US$499.
° Stomp IO. The “Powered by AmpliTube” USB floor controller and audio interfaceallows software control with hardware-like feeling. It will ship next month, cost US$1,049 and include $449 worth of new software and hardware accessories for current and new users.
° AmpliTube X-GEAR, a new software shell-host that allows you to open any current and future “Powered by AmpliTube” amp and FX system in a single interface (AmpliTube 2, AmpliTube Jimi Hendrix, Ampeg SVX, AmpliTube 2 Live and the new AmpliTube Metal) with full mix and match between all of included models, and live control with the StompIO or MIDI controllers.
° AmpliTube Metal, a new “Powered by AmpliTube” standalone/plug-in entirely dedicated to high-gain/heavy-metal gear with an arsenal of 36 modern/vintage amps and distortion stomp boxes models spanning the history of heavy rock from the late 70’s through the 90’s.
