IBM bringing Lotus notes to iPhone, iPod touch

IBM will offer a version of Lotus Notes for the iPhone and iPod touch, ratcheting up its office battle with the software maker, reports eWeek. Company officials will unveil an e-mail package for Lotus Notes that runs on the iPhone and iPod touch this week.

IBM will formally announce the software at its Lotusphere conference in Orlando, Florida, which starts Jan. 21, according to multiple news sources. The software will be free for users who already have a Lotus Web-access license and will start at US$39 per year for new users, eWeek says.
