Today, I’m going to show you how to add a “Mac611” icon to a Home screen on an iPhone or iPod touch—using 1.1.3/1.1.4 software—so you can easily access Mac support when you’re mobile.
First, enter “Mac611.com” in your Safari browser. After the page loads, tap on the ”+” symbol at the bottom of the window.

Next, click on the “Add to Home Screen” button and the following window will come up. Then type in “Mac611” and tap on the “Add” tab as in the photo below.

The “Mac611” icon should show up as in the photo below. You can position it anywhere you want, just like any other icon.

So, next time you’re mobile and need some Mac support, simply tap on the “Mac611” icon.
One more thing; if you want to add a personalized icon that will show up in a Home screen when people bookmark your Web site, simply create a square 57X57 pixel .png image, name it “apple-touch-icon.png” and upload it to the root directory of your Web site. The iPhone/iPod touch’s software will automatically add the curved corners to the image.
