Fujifilm unveils new digital cameras, printers

imageFujifilm has unveiled new FinePix consumer digital cameras and printing solutions. The company is showcasing them at athis week’s PMA 2008 Annuall Convention and Trade Show. Pricing and availability haven’t been announced.

Fujifilm has announced the FinePix S100FS and the FinePix F100fd. Both of these new FinePix models are powered by Fujifilm’s new 8th Generation Super CCD image sensors and RP (Real Photo) Processor III, Dual Image Stabilization and Wide Dynamic Range. The pFinePix F100fd features Face Detection 3.0, allowing for the detection of up to 10 human faces in a scene in as little as 0.036 seconds.

The company is also introducing the FinePix Z20fd, a new digital camera in four colors, as well as the FinePix Z100fd, the most “grown up” model in the Z line. There are two new additions to Fujifilm’s S series—the S8100fd and S1000fd—that boast long zoom lenses and powerful image processors in cameras that deliver SLR functionality with fixed-lens technology.

All seven new models feature a xD/SD Media Compatible Slot. Fujifilm is alsoo introducing its new inkjet paper, Premium Plus Photo Paper line. The product incorporates features that result in an inkjet paper that offers “real photo quality,” the company says.
