Firefighters put out a three-alarm blaze that burned for more than three hours at Apple’s Cupertino campus late Tuesday night., reports the San Jose Mercury News.
The Santa Clara County Fire Department says the three-alarm fire scorched the roof and the second level at one of the six buildings on the company’s campus. It was extinguished early this morning and no one was injured.
Hal Rooney, deputy chief for Santa Clara County Fire Department, told the Mercury News that the fire may have started under an air conditioning unit on the second floor. Workers in the building first called in the fire, fearing a potential fire on the roof because of smoke in the area, he added.
