Final Cut Studio 2 wins Vanguard Award

Final Cut Studio 2 is one of the winners of Digital Content Producer and millimeter magazine’s 2007 Vanguard Awards. The awards highlight “groundbreaking hardware and software professional products for video production and postproduction, selected by the editors and writers of the magazines and introduced in calendar year 2007.”
Other winners include Adobe Creative Suite 3 Production Premium, Flash Player 9, AJA Video Systems’ Io HD, Blackmagic Design’s Intensity Pro, Ciprico’s MediaVault 5100 series, Microsoft’s Silverlight, Panasonic’s BT-LH80W, Red Digital Camera’s Red One, Reed Giant’s Magic Bullet Looks, Sony’s BVM-L230, and Sony’s PMW-EX1 and SxS flash memory card. Apple began shipping Final Cut Studio 2 on May 18. An upgrade to the video production suite that delivers new creative tools designed expressly for editors, it’s available through the Apple Store, Apple’s retail stores and Apple Authorized Resellers for a suggested retail price of US$1,299.
