FilesAnywhere has announced major upgrades to its mobile file storage site for enhanced user functionality. The mobile storage site is compatible with the iPhone, Palm and Blackberry digital mobile devices, devices running Windows Mobile software and other web-enabled devices.
New file access features were added for web-enabled mobile devices, such as online file viewing without downloading and file sharing functionality. No software installation is required to utilize the mobile site. Mobile web capabilities are available with all FilesAnywhere plans, including free 1GB storage accounts.
Standard features available on the FilesAnywhere mobile site include: an online document and image viewer, folder management, cut/copy/paste functions, upload/download, a thumbnail view, detail view and the ability to instantly send files or entire folders to anyone via an email link. On the iPhone, popular file types open directly in the Safari application.
The upgraded mobile site complements FilesAnywhere’s storage and backup services, so folders used and backed up from any Mac or Windows-based computer can be accessed, edited and transferred, all while on the go with a web-enabled mobile device. The mobile site also can be used from any computer for those who prefer the streamlined web interface.
Submissions are being taken for the “Macsimum Macworld San Francisco 2008 Coupon Book.” For details email Dennis at daseller@earthlink.net
