FileMaker isn’t yet ready and FileMaker officials suggest FileMaker Pro 9 users not upgrade the operating system just yet if they want to continue to use the database. Purportedly, FileMaker hasn’t tested older version of FileMaker Pro on Leopard.

Clearly, the premature release of Leopard surprised FileMaker.  Honestly, if Apple can’t keep their in-house developers in the loop, how are third party developers supposed to keep up?

FileMaker has always been at least a year behind the curve. The fact that they are just getting true external db integration shows how forward thinking thy really are. FileMaker is still one of the easiest options out there, but their arrogant pricing and restrictions on use and lack of desire to listen to its customer base make them a joke in my book. They have had access to builds of all previous OSes, yet are always late to the party.
