Facebook users are being offered an all-new application that lets them embed up to five iTunes playlists within their Facebook user profile.
Melodeo has introduced the new feature within its nuTsie iTunes streaming application, Wired reports. Company vice president Dave Dederer said: “NuTsie is about the music. There are over 1,200 music apps on Facebook and not one of them delivers.”
The system takes information from a user’s iTunes library and embeds that information into a Facebook profile. Music from the playlists is then streamed directly from Melodeo’s own, rather than a user’s, computers.
Users can also upload their selection of playlists without running any software on their computer, just by exporting their iTunes Library as an XML document through the service’s website.
The move means a Mac user with a Facebook account can stream highlights from their library from wherever they are using any internet-connected device.
You can join nuTsie here for free.
