‘Escape From Alcatraz’ is iTunes ‘Movie Rental of the Week

Escape From Alcatraz is the 99 cent “Movie Rental of the Week” at the iTunes Store. The 1979 film was directed by Don Siegel and stars Clint Eastwood.
It’s a dramatization of the tale of a group of inmates who attempt a daring escape from the notorious Alcatraz prison island, from where no one had managed to escape before. You can buy Escape from Alcatraz for $9.99.
Except for specials like the “Movie Rental of the Week,” iTunes Movie Rentals are priced at $2.99 for library titles and $3.99 for new releases. High definition versions are just one dollar more with library titles at $3.99 and new releases at $4.99.
