Dual PCalc releases for iOS and Mac OS

TLA Systems has announced the simultaneous release of new versions of their veteran scientific calculator PCalc for both iOS and Mac OS X.

This release adds y improvements to the unit conversions, including dozens of new units and the ability to sort them. It also has a volume control for the key clicks, and various power user options and improvements on iOS 4.0.

PCalc 3.6 for Mac OS has benefitted from six months worth of improvements to the iOS version, including full currency conversion support, and many other functions and options, according to the folks at TLA Systems. Also, copy and paste is now working again in the Dashboard Widget, something that Apple has completely failed to do with their own calculator widget since Mac OS X 10.6 (“Snow Leopard”).

PCalc is distributed as an US$9.99 universal app—one purchase at the Apple App Store will work on the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch. The full version of PCalc includes a discount coupon code to save $9 on the price of PCalc for Mac OS X. The Mac version is normally $19, but with the code you can get it for a $10.
