Steinberg Media Technologies has updated its Cubase and Cubase Studio music production applications to version 4.1. New features include a redesigned Sample Editor, side chaining for VST3 plug-ins, MusicXML support, compatibility with Sequel project import and more.
Cubase is Steinberg’s premier music production tool, offering audio and MIDI recording facilities on either Mac or PC platforms. Cubase Studio 4 is a streamlined version with many of the same technologies. Tailored for composers, musicians and project studios as well as students and educators, Cubase Studio 4 offers music production technology streamlined to offer a set of essential tools and features at a lower price point than Cubase 4.
Cubase 4 is priced at US$999, and Cubase Studio 4 is $399. The update to Cubase 4.1 and Cubase Studio 4.1 is free for registered users.
