CrumplePop has announced Flipper, an US$69 effect for Final Cut Pro that lets editors create the “flipover” effect used in countless broadcast ad spots and television programs. It works right on the Final Cut Pro timeline, without requiring a trip to another application.
With Flipper, you can flip logos, text, photos, and video clips, all with a simple drag and drop operation. Flipper is based on Apple’s Master Template architecture, so editors can use Flipper right inside of Final Cut Pro.
CrumplePop Flipper let you grab any photo, logo, text, or video clip in your project and drop it into a flipover. Then drag and drop whatever you want to flip into. Render and you’re done.
Flipper supports 40 different video codecs, resolutions, and frame rates, including XDCAMEX, XDCAMHD, DVCProHD, HDV, all varieties of ProRes, DV, DV Anamorphic, PAL, 1080p, 1080i, 720p, 480i, 24fps, 30fps, 25fps, 50fps, and 60fps. Flipper works with both Final Cut Pro 6 and Final Cut Pro 7.
