imageCreative has announced the Vado Pocket Video Cam, a US$99.99 camcorder designed to fit in your pocket, purse or the palm of your hand.

The Vado Pocket Video Cam is available in silver or hot pink. It’s not designed (as you could guess from the price) to be a high-end camcorder (it shoots in 640×480 VGA video resolution, but to let you quickly shoot and share video as easily as taking pictures with a point-and-shoot digital camera. The Vado doesn’t need tapes or discs; it can record up to two hours of video on its built-in 2GB of memory. It has a removable rechargeable battery, and you can shoot two hours of video on a single charge.

The Vada is Mac compatible; it works with Mac OS X 10.4.11 or later. It connects to a Mac via USB.
