CoverSutra, an iTunes extender for Mac OS X has been updated to version 1.2. The upgrade enables users to choose from three different cover styles including a retro vinyl record style.

The player controls window has also been redesigned with a more slick and compact user interface. CoverSutra lets you control iTunes without having to leave the currently active application. The software does this through the use of global keyboard shortcuts, information bezels and a transparent floating window. In addition, CoverSutra has integrated support for Last.fm, a social music recommendation service.

A downloadable demo of CoverSutra 1.2 is available now for Mac OS X 10.4 or later. It can be purchased for 14.95€ (about US$22). Version 1.2 is a free upgrade to registered users of any previous version of CoverSutra.
