Christian James has launched a new retail point-of-sale service, PayGo Saas. The service harnesses the software as a service (SaaS) model, which provides centralized and shared resources for retailers to conduct business.
It can be used on a Mac or PC. A Linux version is in the works. PayGo Saas utilizes MySQL and Java.
PayGo Saas is deployed on Amazon’s Elastic Compute Cloud, a service that provides scalable computing capacity running on Amazon’s extensive web service environment. According to Chris Peterson, co-founder and CEO, the solution handles all the basic functionality of running a retail business. It tracks inventory, sales, customers, orders, gift cards and more. Companies can track multiple stores in a real-time environment. PayGo Saas also provides the ability to print bar codes and scan items at the point-of-sale.
Laura Haapala-Peterson, co-founder and COO of Christian James says that PayGo Saas is unique in that it provides retail transaction capabilities and is capable of interfacing with point-of-sale hardware. Contact the company for pricing options.

PayGo Customer Care Says:
We have had extensive communication with Jason Vance about his concerns. While we continue to have ongoing correspondences with him, we have found him to be abrasive. Our customers’ opinions are very important to us and we make every effort to provide top-notch service to all of our clients.
As for his comments regarding PayGo SaaS’ functionality, PayGo SaaS is designed to provide an enterprise-level software solution to retailers. We are continually adding features and abilities to our product in order to give our customers more tools for their business.

Yep, I’ve had extensive communications with the company in fact, they’ve gone so far as to make sure that they will sell additional seats on their software because of the above post:

Does this sound like a company that YOU want to deal with? They didn’t fix my issue so therefore, they’re not going to do an future business. That’s Ok though. The staff at Xsilva systems has been more than happy to sell me 5 additional seats on their Retail POS system.

Jason Vance Says:
I would run away screaming from this company. Not only do they have very poor customer service, the product that they have released PayGo SaaS doesn’t have 1/2 the features of their Filemaker Pro PayGo software. When I mentioned this to them, the blew me off.
