CatalystWeb, a provider of web-based collaboration and communication software for small businesses, has announced that their flagship offering, CatalystOffice, is now Mac compatible utilizing the Firefox web browser.
CatalystOffice is a web-based suite of integrated, business-class email, document management, calendar, contacts and IM applications. It’s specifically designed to meet the needs of America’s 25 million small businesses, according to CatalystWeb founder and CEO Bob Mathew. He says CatalystOffice was developed specifically for the Firefox browser. “
“Firefox is fundamentally designed to support web-based applications, without the security issues that have plagued IE and other browsers,” he says. “We found Firefox to be the fastest, safest, and most-interactive browser, which is why we instruct all clients to make the switch if they haven’t already.”
Document management and collaboration are not compromised if a particular Mac user has not deployed software that emulates a Windows environment, according to Mathew. New documents and edits are sent to the CatalystWeb servers where the company’s proprietary Easy Edit software handles changes.
The CatalystOffice Sync tool allows companies to move and synchronize current data with Microsoft Outlook. All user data is backed up daily. Plans start at US$25 a month for 10GB of storage and scale up to $125 a month for 100GB. No contract is required.
