Barnes & Noble, the world’s largest bookseller, has announced that Barnes & Noble.com has launched the Barnes & Noble Bookstore application for the iPhone and iPod touch. It’s available for free at the Apple App Store.
William Lynch, President of Barnes & Noble.com, says the company has partnered with LinkMe Mobile from Evryx Technologies and Spotlight Mobile so that users can snap a photo to search millions of products. Using the iPhone or iPod touch camera, just snap a photo of the front cover and within seconds get product details, editorial reviews, and customer ratings.
You can even find and reserve a copy in the store closest to you. The store locator will help you find the Barnes & Noble store nearest you, see upcoming events, and get directions. Plus, you can explore exclusive Barnes & Noble content from your iPhone including bookseller recommendations, the Barnes & Noble Review, and Barnes & Noble Studio’s video clips and interviews.
