Red27 Studios has released Awesome Soccer for the Mac. The game works with Mac OS X 10.2 or higher and costs US$14.95.
Awesome Soccer features the “Awesome Aftertouch System,” a control system that enables you to apply bend and swerve the ball with dramatic effect. You can even bend the ball in multiple directions during a single shot.
Awesome Soccer offers over 12 preset competitions from around the world—with more in the pipeline that will be available to download free of charge. But you’re not limited to only the preset tournaments – you can create your very own customized leagues, knock-out cups or even two-stage tournaments featuring 128 teams.
Skillful players are recognized and rewarded within the game via “Golden Balls.” There are over 30 Golden Balls to collect, each one representing a unique achievement from winning your first game, to keeping a clean sheet, right up to becoming the champion of a 128 team tournament.
