Apple to channel partners: stock up on iPods, Mac laptops due to impending ‘limited supply’

image Apple has issued an advisement bulletin to some of its channel partners that hints at a manufacturing ramp down of iPods and certain Mac notebooks, which will result in limited supplies of those products in the coming weeks, reports AppleInsider.

Apple “strongly suggested” that resellers bring in—or place immediate lump orders for—approximately for weeks worth of their top selling iPod models as supplies of the players would start to become extremely limited in the next seven days, the article adds. The company also advised resellers that they should place at least three weeks worth of orders for 13-inch MacBooks and 15- and 17-inch MacBook Pros.
