India: Reliance Digital, the IT consumer arm of Reliance Retail, has opened its “iStore” in Jaipur, offering shoppers in the Pink City the entire range of Apple products, reports Web India. The iStores will also offer specific training modules for different Mac applications like iPhoto, iMovie, Mac OS X, etc. through regular training modules.
After inaugurating the 800 square foot iStore in Jaipur—the first in North India and fourth in India after Bangalore, Hyderabad and Mumbai stores—Reliance Industries CEO Ajay Baijal said the company plans to open 20 iStores in the country this year. Being an Apple Premium Reseller store, iStore in Jaipur will be among first to display any newly launched Apple products in the country, notes Web India
Indian consumers can also look forward to the launch of “up to” 150 ‘Reliance Digital’ mega-stores, offering consumer electronics products, across India in the next two years. The latest moves only underscore the increasing Apple presence in India. The iPhone is coming later this year.
