Apple Expo: 4D v11 SQL ships with Universal Binary support

4D SAS has released 4D v11 SQL Developer product lines that let developers create SQL-powered business applications while maintaining compatibility with existing 4D applications. It’s Universal Binary update so runs natively on both PowerPC and Intel Macs.
At the heart of the new 4D v11 SQL platform is a new database engine. It also adds support for SQL, SVG, and Unicode, as well as beefing up its support for ODBC, XML and SOAP based Web Services.
4D’s developer productivity leadership is further enhanced by the addition of over 100 new productivity enhancements, including a new ergonomic design environment with integrated refactoring tools, new structure design editor and an integrated maintenance center.
Pricing for the 4D v11 SQL product line begins at US$349. Upgrades and maintenance plans are also available.
