Here’s yet another iPhone competitor, this time from Research in Motion. The new Blackberry Bold 9000 has the sleek look of iPhone clones but keeps the keyboard popular with business users. cNet reviewer Bonnie Cha writes, “I was absolutely blown away. I can pretty much say I’ve never seen a better-looking display on a smartphone.”
The phone will be one of a new crop that works on the next generation HSDPA networks being rolled out by AT&T here in the U.S. and in some countries overseas. With potential download speeds of 14 megabits per second, it will likely give both the iPhone and the Sprint Instinct a run for their money. The new 3G iPhone is rumored not to support HSDPA speeds.
