Announcing the Macsimum Design Contest for the Next Great Apple Products

Last week I ran an editorial asking what product category Apple should tackle next. The same day the Cult of Mac blog ran a report on why “Macs Are About to Get Interesting Again.” So we’re sponsoring the Macsimum Design Contest for the Next Great Apple Products.
We want you to send us—with an illustration—your description of the next great Apple product. It can be a new iMac, a new laptop, a new iPod, a tablet Mac, the Newton 2, the iCar—whatever strikes your fancy. We just want you to think outside the box—or think different as the case may be.
We’ll award 12 prizes, all of them books by best-selling author Scott Kelby. We’ll award five copies of the Mac OS X Leopard Book (shown), three copies of the iPod Book and three copies of the iPhone Book. The contest starts today and runs through the end of the month. Send all submissions to dsellers@macsimumnews.com with the illustrations in any format that Photoshop can read.

Where are the official rules!? I have so many sketches and diagrams of my dream computer from Apple stored on my current iMac!
What format should the submission be in? PNG? SVG? TIFF? Maybe models from Google’s Sketch-Up?

Why do you have banners advertising old contests? I just checked back to see if anyone had answered my questions, and I discovered that the spam before my post was written in July. Looking a bit harder, I discovered that this article was written in July.
You guys really should edit it to mention the contest is over. Also… I’m curious to see who/what won… you aught to add a link for that too in the original post.
Bummer… I was so confident that my combo touch screen iMac / wall mounted TV was going to win. (Not going to reveal the truly unique ideas because I have a small hope that maybe this contest is still happening or there will be another similar one in the future.)
