American Technology Research Analyst Shaw Wu told clients that Apple’s stock will probably go higher than expected based on all the new iPhone agreements. Meanwhile, Piper Jaffray Analyst Gene Munster is predicting a 3G iPhone by mid-June.
Wu says the potential iPhone market could more than triple in 2008, from 150 million to approximately 470 million users. He thinks Apple will ship 11 million iPhones this year (Apple’s stated goal is 10 million) and 17 million next year.
Munster is basing his prognostications on the lack of iPhone at the US and UK stores. But he says the lack of sales due to this unavailability right now will be offset when new models ship next month.
