image FBR Research analyst Craig Berger is estimating more than 15 million 3G iPhones plus two million first gen iPhones will be sold in 2008. That’sabove the 10 million iPhones Apple hoped to sell this year, and above the 11 million iPhones Berger had modeled in May, notes Silicon Valley Insider.

Berger also says Apple has ordered about 15 percent more iPods to be built in the third quarter of the year than in his last check with suppliers, including more iPod classic and iPod nano builds, and slightly fewer iPod touch builds. The analyst thinks a new, lower-priced iPod nano could be coming soon, as well as refreshed iPod classic and touch lines.

Berger also says Apple has slightly increased its Mac orders. Laptop orders are up 10 percent and desktop orders up 20 percent.
