3G iPhone in May?

Apple may ship a 3G iPhone as soon as May 2008, according to a report in Spanish national newspaper, El Pais, which cites claims made by a mobile software developer called SevenClick (and as noted by Macworld UK).

El Pais says Spain’s biggest mobile network, Telefonica, expects a 3G version of the iPhone to make an appearance in May. SevenClick’s unconfirmed report claims the news comes from discussions with Telefonica management, who were responding to an enquiry about the Spanish launch of the Apple mobile.
